Harambee Stars will host Togo on Monday, November 18 at the Moi International Sports Center Kasarani from 7 PM East African time. It will be the second match of the 2021 Africa Cup Of Nations qualifiers. The first match was a 1-1 draw with Egypt while Togo lost at home to Comoros.
Below, we look at the players to watch from team Kenya.
Ian Otieno
The goalkeeper will likely start due to Patrick Matasi being injured at the moment. He featured against Egypt and was impressive, conceding only after a poor backpass from midfield.
Should Ian start against Togo, a clean sheet will surely be his main target and it will be interesting to see how he conducts himself as he works for it.
Ayub Timbe
The winger was busy against Egypt but missed two glorious opportunities to open the scoring in the first half. Timbe does everything right but he has yet to turn prolific for the national team.
He desperately needs a goal for the Harambee Stars and what better way to do so than in front of your own fans?
Lawrence Juma
The Gor Mahia midfielder has a good game against Egypt that was blighted by his costly backpass that led to the Pharaoh’s goal. He breaks up play brilliantly and runs for the entire duration that he will be on the pitch.
Should he put in the level of performance he showcased against Egypt and cut the errors, there is a very high chance that the points will remain in Nairobi!
