Witchcraft? ODM Official Reveals Why Didmus Left Raila for Jubilee

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) communications director Philip Etale has denied Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa claims that he decamped from the party to Jubilee during the 2017 elections because of witchcraft.

Etale was responding to Barasa’s revelation to Tuko.co.ke that he left the ODM direct ticket for a Jubilee ticket after Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga allegedly “tried to connect him with his Nigerian friend, who he suspected to be a witchcraft, to help him win the Kimilili seat”.

Etale, through a tweet, confirmed Barasa revelations that the party gave him a direct ticket in 2017. He, however, alleged that Barasa had secured both Jubilee and ODM party certificates during the 2017 elections because “of his bad manners of conning people”.

“Didmus Barasa was given the ODM Certificate. He was listed even at the IEBC Kenya as the ODM candidate for Kimilili Constituency. But because of his bad manners of conning people right from his days in the military, he went to Jubilee for another certificate. He had 2 certificates” Etale said.

Barasa told Tuko that he sought the help of ODM leader boss Raila Odinga’s after realising he stood no chances of winning if he vied for the Kiminini seat on a FORD Kenya ticket.

He disclosed that Raila assured him of a direct ticket and “many other things which he was supposed to do for him” but he insisted he had to see his Nigerian friend whom he suspected to be a witchcraft.

The MP, who has on multiple occasions accused Raila of being a witchcraft (Mganga), claims he has evidence to substantiate his allegations.
