Police in Homa Bay County have arrested MCA for Kojwach ward Joan Ogada for allegedly assaulting the County Assembly Clerk Daniel Kaudo in his office this morning.
Ogada allegedly stormed the clerk’s office alongside the other two MCAS where they attacked and roughed him up before destroying office equipment over unknown reasons.
Confirming the incident to KNA, Homa Bay County deputy Police Commander Samuel Obara said that Ogada was arrested within the assembly precincts after they assaulted the clerk and tore his clothes.
Obara said that two other MCAs who also participated in the incident were identified as Maurice Ogwang of Kendu Bay Town ward and his Kabuoch South counterpart Oscar Abote. They escaped the police dragnet as police wanted them arrested and charged with assault.
