Jubilee party candidate in the just concluded Kibra by-election McDonald Mariga together with his Deputy Party leader William Ruto will on Thursday, November 14 hold a thanksgiving meeting at Bomas of Kenya, says ODM Director of Elections Junet Mohamed.

In a tweet accessed by this writer, Junet on Tuesday claimed that the rally dubbed a thanksgiving function was the first anti-Building Bridges Initiative(BBI) report gathering engineered by Jubilee leaders allied to the DP.

According to Junet, the leaders will be seeking to officially start their anti-BBI journey, though the report is yet to be made public.

Also, the MP slammed the DP saying the choice of the venue was a clear indicator that he had no political support in Kibra.

“This Thursday the first anti-BBI meeting by DP Ruto to be held at Bomas of Kenya fashioned as a “thank you “ rally for mariga.

“he believes he had a winning support why not do the rally in Kibra. Anyway, our people can attend to share the loot!” said Junet.

When the writer of this piece contacted Jubilee digital blogger and Ruto’s ardent supporter, Dennis Itumbi, for comments over the matter,  he told off the ODM MP saying he should focus on his party’s schedule.

Nevertheless, Itumbi declined to confirm whether the allegations made Junet were true or not.

“First, let Junet go and focus on denouncing violence in Kibra. He should stop paying attention to matters of different parties.

“On the matter of Bomas meeting, I cannot deny or confirm the allegations but let Junet focus on ending violence in Kibra,” said Itumbi.

Mariga lost his bid to ODM’s MP-elect Bernard Okoth, alias Imran during the November 7 by-election.

Jubilee party thereafter accused the Orange party of intimidating and scaring aways their supporters from turning to vote.

The ODM  Party, however, dismissed the allegations and shifted the blame to Jubilee party saying it is its leader that was captured unleashing violence.
