Government Takes Drastic Action Against Three Airlines

The grounded planes from the airline company belong to their Dash 8 fleet that has been marred with mishaps.

It was also reported that the licences of  two other airline company, Safe Air and Adventure Aloft, were suspended.

Following the order, through a tweet, Silverstone confirmed that they complied to the directive.

The aviation authorities were on October 28 forced to intervene into the matter after a wheel of one of the Silverstone aircrafts came off.

The incident occurred after the airplane was forced to make an emergency landing at the Eldoret International Airport.

The ill fated flight had a total of 9 people on board, five passengers and four crew members who were heading to Nairobi from Lodwar.

The embattled airline however defended itself after a public outcry to have the firm investigated for endangering the lives of Kenyans.

Through it’s management, they disregarded that the case was an emergency landing.

“This was not an emergency landing. An emergency landing occurs when the pilot declares an emergency,” read a part of the statement issued at that time.

On October 27, things for the enterprise went from bad to worse, after the aircraft model Fokker 50 hit another plane at Wilson Airport.

In it’s defence the inland air transport company cited congestion as the reason behind the unfortunate calamity.

On October 11, the corporation ran out of excuses when another of their acquisition skidded off a runway at the same airport, with the cause of the mishap unknown.

The incidents left the country puzzled on when action will be taken before the mishaps became fatal.
