Kenya’s new sensational music Gengetone which saw the realization of the #playke music dream is currently the talk of the town over the use of vulgar language by its artists.
The latest one to comment about the new genre is the award-winning gospel artist Jabidii.
Speaking during an interview, Vimbada hitmaker blames Kenya legendary artists the likes of the Kansoul and Jua Cali for misleading the Gengetone artists who are new in the game.
Jabidii went on to say that the Gengetone artists need guidance and the legend musicians have failed a big-time, instead of correcting them they are collaborating to release dirty music.
“Wao wanafa mamentor wasanii wakubwa badawa wawacorrect na kuadvise wanawajoin alafu wanaona iyo ndio trend,”he disclosed.
“Lazima tukuwe na watu ambao wanawaguide na kuwaambia haiwezi balada ya kuwa join at the end of the day ni talent ya Kenya ndio tunnaipeleka mbele,imagine mtu anakuja tuhivi na hakuna inspiration wanaweza pata kwa hizo songs, hawa wasanii wakubwa lazima awaambie mfanye hivi na itakuwa poa”.
Jabidii , who has been releasing trending songs, further said that it’s not wrong to trend but what matters is the content and message of the song.
“Badala ya kuwa join ndio trend wacha tuwacorrect, mtatrend for a short while but hautakuwa umeinspire mtu, atleast watry kuja na positive message ya kumotivate hao watu wako huko mtaani,”he said.
“I think the best thing they can do ni kubadilisha tu content si lazima waimbe vitu dirty ndio wa trend,” he disclosed.
Shoot Satan hitmaker also expressed his love for Gengetone genre saying that he loves the new sounds but his only problem is with the content.
“Mimi napenda good vibe na napenda kusikia sound mpya juu lazima tugrowishe iyo level siwezi sema wako mbaya but ni content tu ndio siambatani nayo, inadepend generation next tunawaambia nini,apart from hii kitu wanaimbi inakiuka maadili,”he revealed.
“Pia inaaffect future generation, juu tukiraise generation ambaye haina fear ya God hatakama kuna ile vitu tunafanya”.
