The Kieleweke legislator described Langata constituency as one of ODM’s stronghold (Raila Odinga’s sitting room) adding that he will be seeking to use the handshake to advance his ambitions.

Already, most ODM leaders have expressed intentions to recapture the seat which was formerly held by the party’s boss Raila Odinga before it was split into two in 2010.

Joshua Kutuny, who has fallen out with Rift Valley kingpin William Ruto, seems to be strategizing himself for 2022 after a section of Rift Valley leaders vowed to ensure that Kutuny is not re-elected as the Cherangany MP.

With the DP being the region’s undisputed political kingpin, it is undoubtedly an uphill task for someone to fight him and still excell politically in his home turf.

The outspoken lawmaker has been on the headlines hitting out at William Ruto, terming him a selfish leader whose interest is just to inherit President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022.

The issue of maize scandals, Kimwarer and Arror dam scandals, graft allegations and referendum are among the key point of contests that Kutuny has been accusing the DP of.

Among other Jubilee MPs from the region who have despised Ruto includes; Moiben MP Silas Tiren and his Nandi Hills counterpart Alfred Keter.
