Speaking during a thanksgiving ceremony of MP-elect Bernard Okoth Imran at DC grounds on Sunday, the defiant MP stated that he will visit Uasin Gishu including holding a political rally in Eldoret town despite threats by Sudi that they were going to teach him a lesson.

He also assured all those who had warned him against visiting Bungoma that he will visit the county and will not take heed to their threats.

“Bungoma is my mother’s homeland. I will set my feet in Bungoma to see what you will do. I will also hold a political rally in Eldoret and you will do nothing about it,” remarked Arati amid cheers from the crowd.

Arati’s sentiments came just a day after a section of youths and bodaboda riders from Kimilili in Bungoma strongly condemned him over attacks on their MP Didimus Barasa and former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale.

The youths warned that they will not allow Arati to set foot in Bungoma until he formally apologise to the two leaders and electorates for the heinous act.

The same was aired by Oscar Sudi who described Arati as an incompetent leader who doesn’t deserve to be called a leader.

Simba Arati ni mjinga sana na hafai kuitwa kiongozi. Pia yeye ni shetani mkubwa. (Arati is stupid and does not deserve being called a leader. He is also one big devil,” Sudi posted on Facebook adding that Arati would meet the same fate he had predicted on Jubilee politicians.

Arati’s statement comes at a time when Jubilee leaders are demanding for his arrest over pockets of violence that were witnessed during the Thursday voting exercise in Kibra by-election.

In a viral video, the Dagoreti North legislator is heard warning Didmus and threatening to unleash his team on him. Seconds after Arati’s remarks, a group of youth is seen roughing up Didmus despite his begging for calmness.

Didmus was in the company of Benjamin Washiali and other MPs as they traversed Kibra constituency to observe the mini poll.
