Good morning,
Kibra is officially married, the bedroom is locked. We hope Imran Okoth will give this girl enough attention to warrant re-election in 2022.
The voting pattern in Kibra reminded us of those Nigerian romantic movies, where a beautiful village girl chooses to marry her village boyfriend despite pressure from outsiders to marry a rich prince who is bankrolled by a wealthy and influential uncle.
However, the election results did not settle the supremacy battle between ODM leader Raila Odinga and Deputy President William Ruto. Ruto has taken the battle to social media with accusations that ODM used terrorists and organized militia to threaten the electorate on the voting day. ODM, on the other hand, alleges that the DP is just a bitter loser especially after he used a lot of money to bribe voters. Who is right?
As we were all focused on Kibra, Dennis Okari delivered another shocker on matters food, we have been consuming contaminated Ugali. He titled this expose #WhiteAlert. Ugali-Nyama is the most favourite dish in Kenyan households. Does this mean we are just walking corpses?
In case you are going through a hard time this week, just remember there is a Mariga fan who supports both Arsenal and AFC Leopards.
Here are the stories making headlines this morning:
Mzee Moi Rushed to Nairobi Hospital
Former President Daniel Moi has been re-admitted to Nairobi Hospital only two days after he was discharged.
According to sources, Moi was rushed back to the hospital on Saturday morning.
It was not immediately clear whether he was taken back to ICU, where he was before being discharged, or to the general ward in the VIP section.
Raila Unveils 2022 Alliance
A new alliance is being cobbled together as former Raila Odinga’s ODM party cuts links with old political partners.
Raila, using the Kibra by-election as a launchpad to chart the 2022 path, indicated the win will impact the BBI politics and the next general election.
The former Prime Minister who was leading a thanksgiving rally at Kibra’s D.C grounds declared that the win is not only for the area but will shape the nation.
Inside Terror Machine That Stunned Ruto Men in Kibra
The Orange Democratic Movement is on the spot over its links to a team that terrorised individuals suspected of voter bribery in the Kibra by-election last week.
The rowdy group of youth unleashed fear by harassing, intimidating and beating up political opponents suspected of bribing voters at polling stations.
There has been a lot of discussion on the violence that was witnessed during the Kibra by-elections on Thursday. DP Ruto has asked ODM leader, Raila, to apologise to the victims of the violence and promise Kenyans that this will never happen again. Do you think Raila should apologise?
