The Orange Democratic Movement organised a thanksgiving rally in Kibra at the DC grounds in celebration of Bernard Okoth Imran’s triumph in the concluded by-elections on 7th November, 2019.
Imran took the crown with 24,636 votes beating Jubilee rival McDonald Mariga who garnered 11,230 votes.
To honor the victory that spared baba a huge political disgrace in own backyard, Raila’s team and allies of the party flocked the residence to revel with the residents who turned out in big numbers and were equally over joyed.
ODM Party’s brigade campaigned in the constituency declaring that Kibra was Raila’s bedroom, a term which caught on among the residents, their political allies and competitors alike. It was coined because Odinga had represented the area in Parliament for over 20 years when he was the Lang’ata MP.

Among the leaders in the thanksgiving rally party was Suba North Member of Parliament Millie Odhiambo who took the opportunity to retaliate against Garissa Woman Rep Anab Subow who previously insulted Raila Odinga calling him a devil who is uncircumcised in a video that has since gone viral.
“Shetani ashindwee……..na huyu mzee anaitwa baba, sijui ni baba ya nani. Huyu mzee ni mkubwa hata hajatahirishwa. Yeye ni baba lakini aende Bondo akatahirishwe kwanza. Kwani yeye ni nani, mbona hazeeki,”Subow said.
“Akasema baba ni shetani, akasema baba haezi aka fanya nn? that one mm cjui ..Naningetaka kumwambia hivi…huyo mama minilikua najua ni MCA nilishangaa kuambiwa huyo ni women rep wa Garissa sababu mimi sijawai kumwona bunge akiongea..Watu wa Garissa poleni sana mlichagua maajabu kama mbunge..Ningetaka kumwambia huyo mama hivi..Nataka kumwambia huyu mama hivi, awache kuonja onja wazee,” Millie narrated.

Millie then proceeded to display her joy on their victory by getting down to a bongo beat that showcased her mastery of moves.

She was happily joined on the dance floor by Nairobi woman representative Esther Passaris, Wajir East member of Parliament Fatma Gedi,Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati and Suna East MP Junet Mohammed who grinded to the music.
Hon. Maina Kamanda also graced the occasion and explained how they protected the ODM “bedroom”.
