Stone Thrown as Khalwale is Chased Out of Kibra (Video)

Jubilee party member Boni Khalwale found himself in the thick of things on Thursday, as he was bundled out of Kibra.

In a video that went viral, Khalwale was inches away from being injured after a stone meant for him failed to hit the target.

The former Kakamega Senator seemed perturbed by the incident and continued his journey through Laini Saba together with supporters of  Macdonald Mariga.

The situation however turned ugly when he was accosted by rowdy youths who were relentless to ensure he was not welcome in the area.

The politician was forced to flee after efforts from the pro Mariga camp trying to shield him failed.

It was reported Khalwale visited the YMCA polling station to check on the progress of the ongoing by-elections before the drama occurred.

Earlier, fracas ensued at Mashimoni Squatters polling station that resulted in the apprehension of two people over bribing allegations.

An individual identified as Jemmoh Kipkorir, was brutally attacked by voters after he was caught red handed in the act.

Nairobi Police Commander Philip Ndolo who confirmed the incident, remarked that the suspect was a worker at the Langata CDF office.

More chaos followed after a woman whose identity was not established, managed to escape the wrath of the crowd after she was found conducting the crime only to be later arrested by the law enforcers.

Security detail within the area was intensified after the episodes in a bid to curb the malpractice.

Suna East MP Junet Mohammed proclaimed that he had intel of people who were bribed with Ksh 50,000 at Weston Hotel and instructed to distribute it among the voters.

Junet’s sentiments were echoed by Embakasi East Babu Owino who explained that he rushed to the voting area to halt the crime being done by Kimilili MP Didimus Barasa and Langata MP Nickson Korir.

“Just arrived at Mashimoni polling station to stop voter bribery by Didimus Barasa and Nickson Korir. Tuko rada yao!!!” Babu commented.

He further reiterated that the Raila Odinga led party will not accept rigging by IEBC.
