The wingman was also accused of being the mastermind of voter bribery being perpetuated by the Jubilee Party.

Amid the gunshots, the defeated senator ran to his vehicle and fled off to uperhill polling station.

On Thursday morning he had been caught up in another situation as rowdy youth, said to be ODM affiliates, threw stones at him terming him as an unwelcome visitor.

The politician was forced to flee after efforts from his fellow supporters that were trying to shield him failed.

He was in a mid-morning visit to YMCA polling station to check the progress of the ongoing by-elections before being chased away.
