How To Enjoy Mind-Blowing Sex With Your Disabled Partner

Talking about having sex with a disabled person is often a taboo topic. This is because a lot of people assume that you are taking advantage, but as long as sex is consensual on both sides, you can get down.

“The biggest myth is that people with disabilities are asexual or cannot have sex. I think this myth stems from the infantilization of people with disabilities. While some people with disabilities are asexual, the majority want and have sex,” Eva Sweeney, host of ‘Cripping Up Sex with Eva,’ told The Mighty.

That said, here are a few tips to enjoy mind-blowing sex with your disabled partner:

Communicate

Just like other aspects of life, communication is key. Communicate with your partner about what you are comfortable with. Talk about what kind of sex you want to engage in and what positions your partner enjoys and is comfortable in. If your partner says that they are uncomfortable or in pain don’t force issues.

Get Creative

Sex positions are not cast in stone. If your partner has mobility problems & is wheel-chair bound and you want to enjoy doggy style, you can switch up to The Sidecar position or reverse cowgirl.

Figure Out the Most Comfortable Positions

For some people with disabilities, chronic pain and fatigue can put a damper on your sex life while for others it’s just a few positions that feel difficult so figure out the best positions that will make you both comfortable.

“There are certain positions I can’t stay in for long (e.g. doggy style) because my legs give way. I can’t be restrained by my ankles either as I get random spasms and cramps. But anything else goes,” explains a 37-year-old woman with Multiple Sclerosis to Cosmopolitan.

Employ Sex Toys

Find His or Her Erogenous Zones

Everyone enjoys sensual touch, however, for some people their disability may affect some of their stimuli but you can experiment and find out their erogenous zones and play with them for a wholesome sexual experience.

Don’t Be Weird
Don’t say things like ‘You are cute for someone in a wheelchair’ or ‘I have always wanted to have sex with a blind person’. No one likes being fetishized so don’t do that.
