ODM Mocks Ruto Over Heavy Security Detail In Kibra

Orange Democratic Movement(ODM) party has slammed Deputy President(DP) Wiliam Ruto over heavy security detail that accompanied him during his campaign trails in Kibra, on Sunday.

The Orange party took to its Twitter account to mock the DP ostensibly insinuating that Ruto feared to be turned away.

ODM reiterated that the DP’s tours in Kibra were a waste of time saying the area residents will never shift their allegiance from the Orange party.

“How they enter someone’s bedroom. Fear and armed security all over. BOOM, Kibra is O D M..,” tweeted ODM.

Led by its party leader Raila Odinga and a host of leaders across the political divide, the Orange party held a mega rally at Woodley grounds to drum up support for the ODM candidate Bernard Imran Okoth.

National Assembly Minority Leader James Orengo expressed optimism that the Orange party is poised to clinch the seat come November 7, the day set for the by-election.

“The people of Kibra have expressed total confidence and support for @TheODMparty and it’s a candidate for the upcoming by-election Benard Otieno Okoth Imran. Thank you,” tweeted Orengo.

On Saturday, ODM party received a grand boost after Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua and his Makueni and Kitui counterparts Kivutha Kibwana and Charity Ngilu respectively endorsed Imran for the seat.

The leaders were also present at Woodley grounds on Sunday.

Also, Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru attended the ODM rally and endorsed Imran for the seat.

On the other hand, DP Ruto led Jubilee leaders in a parallel rally to campaign for their candidate McDonald Mariga at DC grounds.

ANC candidate Eliud Owalo is set to hold his mega rally on Monday at DC ground.
