Popular Jamaican Reggae Artist To Campaign For Mariga in Kibra

Popular Jamaican reggae artist Kenyatta Hill, Son of the late Joseph Hill of Culture, will be in Kibra on Sunday to campaign for Jubilee party candidate McDonald Mariga.

In video footage shared by Jubilee blogger Dennis Itumbi, the reggae artist confirmed that he will be in Kibra to support Mariga’s parliamentary bid.

“Kenya wagwan this is Kenyatta Hill. On Sunday, I am coming to join you. I am coming to help you make a decision. Do you know whom we gonna celebrate with?

Somebody, please tell me. Yes, we are coming to celebrate with Mariga because he promised us that he will help the talent,” says Hill in the video footage.

The artist will be performing his popular songs as Mariga seeks to woo voters ahead of the by-election set for November 7.

Hill is set to have a performance in Nairobi on Saturday before gracing Mariga’s rally the following day.

The campaigns for the Kibra by-election will most likely come to an end on Tuesday to pave way for the final preparations of the poll.

The Jubilee candidate is facing tough competition from ODM’s Bernard Imran Okoth, who is a brother to late MP ken Okoth, and ANC’s Eliud Owalo.

More than 20 candidates will be locking horns in their quest to clinch the seat.

The set fell vacant after Ken succumbed to colorectal cancer in July.
