News reaching us this morning is that former President Mwai Kibaki has joined his counterpart Daniel Arap Moi at the Nairobi hospital. Kibaki has apparently been admitted over a knee pain just days after returning from London for treatment. We will keep you posted on this story as it develops from time to time.

Meanwhile, the NASA marriage is proving to be messy and casualties are expected to be reported in the next few days all thanks to the Kibra by-elections.

According to ODM SG, Edwin Sifuna, their coalition partners have killed the spirit of cooperation and alliance within the party after fielding respective candidates to challenge Imran Okoth in Kibra.

To some good news, Harambee Starlets will finally return to camp after the government bailed out the Football Kenya Federation. The Sports fund released Ksh3.8m to help the ladies prepare for their upcoming Olympic qualifier against Zambia scheduled for November 8 and 11, 2019, home and away respectively. CS Amina Mohamed has also assured FKF that budgetary requests regarding the team’s upcoming fixtures against Zambia will be met.

Meanwhile, over a million candidates will today write their last paper in this year’s KCPE. The government is convinced that the examinations were transparent despite a few challenges faced in different examination centers and areas.

Marking of the exams will commence next week with 33, 720 markers expected to oversee the exercise.
