Lionel Messi’s exquisite display of skill, playmaking and goal-scoring singlehandedly led Barcelona to a huge win over Real Valladolid at Camp Nou on Tuesday, and the whole world is talking about it.

Many are shocked by the 32-year Old’s abilities- a trait which, in the end, may just brand him as the greatest player to ever play football.

Although Pele, Diego Maradona, and Cristiano Ronaldo may have something to say about that, but the Argentine will be a modern great alongside Ronaldo.

Messi played an immense part in their 5-1 win against Real Valladolid, scoring two goals and creating two more, which has forced teammate and former Bayern Munich star Arturo Vidal to admit the Argentine is so much more than every other footballer.

Vidal adds that Messi surprises everyone every day and his sheer presence on the team-sheet makes all the difference with the Argentine contributing to eight goals in five appearances in the La Liga alone since his return from injury.

“It makes a difference with Leo giving all his quality. When he’s like this, the team feels it. We see him every day, but he surprises us every day. Leo is from another planet.  We are happy, we won and the team felt good. I have no words to talk about Leo. You have to take advantage of it and make the most of him,” Vidal told Movistar Plus.

The win gives Barcelona a two-point lead over shock second place contenders Granada with Atletico Madrid just behind in third place. But with the El Clasico postponed, the Catalan giants have a game in hand and that does give them a slight advantage. Yet, Vidal went on to say that while the wins help the club, they need to keep improving and cannot play like they did against Slavia Prague.
