Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen has heaped massive praise on to outgoing Citizen TV news anchor Hussein Mohamed ahead of his last show.
The Senator on Tuesday took to twitter to appreciate the fact that he will be the last political leader, together with the National Assembly Minority Leader John Mbadi, to grace his last Newsnight show.
Murkomen lauded Hussein for his prowess in moderating political shows saying he was eager to have the best ever discussion with him.
“@ is one of our great journalists and a competent moderator of political debates.
Tonight will be his final show and I am honoured to be part of the panel together with @.Looking forward to having a constructive dialogue tonight,” tweeted Murkomen.
Hussein is expected to host his last show at Citizen TV on Tuesday night together with Mbadi and Murkomen.
They will be dissecting through the puzzle of the Building Bridges Initiative(BBI) report and specifically on the issue of Parliamentary or Presidential system of government.
Hussein announced his departure from the Royal Media-owned station after working for it for over 10 years.
He said he was going to take a break and concentrate on other things.
It is not yet clear if he will be crossing to another media house given that he told his supporters; ‘See you soon’ at the end of his farewell message.
Several political leader and analyst, he hosted at Citizen TV, regretted his departure expressing their wishful desires of wanting him to continue gracing their screens.
Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale, in his social media account, pleaded with Hussein not to quit his journalism insinuating that migrating to a different media house will be a reprieve for him since he would wish to continue watching him.
Political analyst Herman Manyora questioned his departure asking the station’s bosses why they had to let go the most touted best political moderator.
All in all despite the reaction from a section of Kenyans, finally, the curtains fall for Hussein Mohamed as a news anchor at Citizen TV.
