Mzee Moi Admitted to ICU, Ferries Confirmed to be Death Traps and Kibra Vote Hunt Now Ethnicised

Good morning Kenyans, we hope you are doing fine from wherever you are even as we all strive to make ends meet during these harsh economic times. It’s a chilly morning in Nairobi and with that also comes some not so good news.

Former President Daniel Torotich Arap Moi is reported to be in critical condition. Moi is admitted at the Nairobi Hospital ICU with the former head of state having complained of chest pains and breathing problems just two weeks after he was discharged.

From Opera News, we wish Mzee Moi a quick recovery.

Away from Moi’s health, Silverstone Air continues to make headlines for all the wrong reasons and Kenyans seem to have grown tired of the never ending mishaps at the Airline. Monday saw a passenger plane belonging to the airline have its tyre fall off just after taking off at the Lodwar Airstrip. The plane was forced to make an emergency landing at the Eldoret airport. Relevant authorities have swung into action with the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority promising a probe into the recent incidents and accidents. Kenyans have however, called from the grounding of the planes belonging to Silverstone in order to avoid any looming disaster.

From the Nairobi hospital to Silverstone Airlines, here are the stories making headlines on the Opera News App this morning.
