Wazito Duo to Miss Posta Rangers Clash

Kenyan Premier League side, Wazito FC will miss the services of midfielder Teddy Osok and striker Derrick Onyango when they face Posta Rangers in a Kenyan Premier League on Sunday, October 27 at Narok County Stadium.

Osok has a knee problem he picked during last weekend’s game against Kakamega Homeboyz while Onyango has a foot problem he picked after he got stamped on.

“Teddy Osok and Derrick Onyango will miss Sunday’s Kenyan Premier League match against Posta Rangers with knee and foot problems respectively. The duo has not trained with the rest of the team this week owing to the injuries they picked last weekend,” the club announced.

Team physio Noel Mandi revealed that Onyango will be out for a fortnight while Osok will have to undergo further tests to determine the extent of his knee problem.

“Teddy and Dero are out of Sunday’s match. Teddy has a knee problem which we are closely monitoring, he will undergo further scans so that we can have a clear picture of the extent of the injury. Derrick, on the other hand, has a foot problem and he will be out for around two weeks,” he said.

Wazito, now under new boss Melis Medo will be hoping to kick start their 2019/20 season with a win over the Mail-Men. The team has picked just one win this campaign and currently sit 13th in the log with six points.

The bad run necessitated the changes in the technical bench earlier this week. Head coach Fred Ambani and Technical Director Stanley Okumbi were shown the door with Medo taking over.

The match will kick-off at 2 PM.
