Real Madrid Reject Arsenal’s Offer For Midfielder

Real Madrid have reportedly rejected Arsenal’s offer of 26 Million pounds for Spanish midfielder Dani Ceballos with the Gunners keen on signing the former Real Betis man permanently.

Ceballos joined Arsenal in the summer from Madrid on a season-long loan deal after finding playtime at the Spanish capital difficult to come by. He has not managed to break into Arsenal’s starting XI featuring majorly as a sub for the Gunners.

The player had earlier this month announced that he wants to succeed at Real Madrid dashing any possibility of moving to the North London club permanently.

“I never thought about going permanently. My goal is to succeed at Real Madrid. I will fight to fulfill my dream. With [Arsenal coach Unai] Emery’s confidence I may have many chances to be in Euros squad. These two years [at Real Madrid] I’ve learned a lot from the club, but now I’m enjoying it [football]. I knew it was an important year, the coach has doubts and he who doesn’t play doesn’t go [to Euro 2020], so it was a good time to go on loan,” he said.

Even though he had declared that he is not interested in joining the club permanently, Arsenal has gone ahead to table a bid for his services according to Spanish media. The offer was however turned down as it does not match their valuation of the player and are also not interested in letting go off the Spanish international.

Arsenal coach Unai Emery earlier stated the player needs more time to adjust to the demands of the English Premier League.
