Murkomen Torn Apart After Latest Kimwarer, Arror Rivers Video

Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen during a past event

Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has been ridiculed over the latest saga in the Kimwarer and Arror dam projects.

Murkomen publicly condemned the move to halt one of the dam projects and stated it was a plan to deny the people of the area a chance to better themselves.

Through a tweet, the politician shared a video of the latest state of the Kimwarer and Arror rivers that had burst their banks.

The Senate majority leader angrily remarked that the two rivers needed to be dammed urgently.

“Arror River has become violent. Wants to be dammed urgently!” exclaimed Murkomen.

Following his sentiments, the leader was however bashed by a section of netizens.

Here are some of the reactions:

One netizen identified as Martin’s Aketch advised Murkomen to move forward and stop complaining.

“My friend hata ulete aeries ya Aror and Kimwarer rivers pouring their water, that dam decision is final.” uttered Aketch.

Pascal Thoya noted that, “I did some physics experiment in primary school, did you know that towels absorb a lot of water? Its A process called corruptioniasis . Kindly advice people there to use the towels already purchased to save the situation.”

Another netizen named Ronny Ayodo stated that, “Find other avenues to siphon taxpayers money, stop insisting on a project that is non beneficial to Kenyans.”

Kipkoech Cheruiyot asserted that, “Just like the above turbulence of water, your county people are constantly hit by turbulence of poverty, poor governance, corruption, and betrayal. With equal turbulence someday, they will gather the courage to ouster such political and development turbulence out of their lives.”

Nehemia Kigen proclaimed that stolen money would not make such leaders have peaceful nights.

“Lakini pesa ya kuiba usumbua watu..haikubali utulie lazima ushinde ukisema penye uliiba” remarked Kigen.

A month ago, Murkomen claimed the decision by President Uhuru Kenyatta to stop the project was misled by the committee appointed to handle the initiative.

According to the vocal lawmaker, the termination of the project was ethnically biased.

“The composition of the team doesn’t reflect ethnic and regional balance.”

“Maringa, Matu, Mwangi and Muiruri have sadly misled Uhuru.

The jubilee party member further argued that the group was corrupt and made it the main aim to see the project fail than have it benefit the people of that region.
