Khalwale Final Rites to Late Wife [video]

Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale on Saturday, October 12 organised a bullfighting match in honor of her late wife Adelaide Khalwale.

Adelaide, 55, succumbed to pulmonary hypertension on October 5. She was buried last Saturday, October 12.

“This morning we brought the cultural mourning of Mama Adelaide to a closure with our bull Malinya winning two matches in her honour” he posted on Twitter.

On Thursday, Khalwale performed traditional post burial restocking rites for his late wife per the Luyha tradition.

He said that elders from the Butsotso Clan paid a visit to conduct the traditional ceremony.

“Today elders from the Butsotso clan visited me at home for the traditional post burial restocking rites during which they brought me maize and chicken. Thank you my clansmen,” Posted Khalwale on his official Twitter account.

Khalwale said Adelaide died on his harms at their Malinya home.

“She just stopped breathing” he revealed.
