Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar has finally spoken about Paul Pogba after the player was recently pictured with Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane.
Pogba’s meeting with Zidane further fueled rumour that the midfielder is warming up for a move to the Spanish club.
But Ole insists Pogba is at Old Trafford to stay and that his picture with his compatriot was just a picture. “It’s a picture. When you’re at Man United you get pictures taken of you. I don’t have any problem with that at all.”
“Paul is part of our plans. He’s been playing through the pain barrier but when he came back against Rochdale and Arsenal he wanted to play.
“He tried to get back but it was too painful. He had that scan, he’s on the way back, he’s recovering, he’s mending. He’s been off a few days off work,” Ole said.
The two, Pogba and Zidane, were pictured together last week in Dubai after Pogba travelled to the UAE for a warm-weather rehab programme to aid his recovery from an ankle and foot injury.
Pogba has been heavily linked with Real after saying it would be ‘a dream’ to play for the Spanish giants and also has a good relationship with French compatriot Zidane.
Manchester United are playing Liverpool in a do-or-die clash this Sunday. The Red Devils currently sit on the 12th spot of the table with a paltry 9 points from eight matches as Liverpool lead the pack after sweeping clean all their played matches.
