More good news is coming out of Italy as Manchester United fans wait to see Massimiliano Allegri at Old Trafford.

According to media reports, Juventus midfielder Emre Can has confessed his love for the Red Devils and expressed his desire to join the troop that will be heading to Manchester.

The German ran his contract down at Liverpool before he sealed a free transfer to Juventus but the former Bayer Leverkusen star is reportedly unhappy in Turin.

He was a good player for the Reds but Fabinho’s arrival after the UEFA Champions League defeat to Real Madrid in Kiev has quickly seen fans forget about him.

In fact, the Brazilian defensive midfielder added a Champions League winners to his growing collection and sealed his place in the Liverpool team for years to come by performing to a very high level over the last 10 months.
The other player who has been heavily linked to escorting Allegri is forward Mario Mandžukić.

Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici has also confirmed that he will hold talks with Mario Mandzukic amid rumours the forward is set to join Manchester United.

“With Mandzukic, we chose a quiet time for him to leave but a move to Qatar [in the summer] did not materialise so he stayed with us. Now we will talk to him and see what happens in January,” Paratici said.

On his side former Man United player Dimitar Berbatov has backed United’s bid to sign Mandzukic and believes the Croatia international could have an impact similar to Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s at Old Trafford.

“They have the talent in the young players but at the same time you need someone like Mandzukic,” he told Betfair.

“I think he is a really good football player and he hasn’t played before in England, but I hope if he comes he can straight away get into the rhythm of the Premier League.

“Zlatan Ibrahimovic was 34 years old when he signed for United and he didn’t have any problems. Mandzukic is a similar age and I hope he could have the same impact if he signs.

“I think his age is a good thing, [Anthony] Martial, Rashford and [Mason] Greenwood are all young players so they need that time and assurance that they don’t need to worry and they can learn from the experience of Mandzukic,” he added.
