Talent in Blood! Meet Kenya’s Melodic Families Taking Music Industry by Storm

Making a living through talent is currently trending in Kenyans as more and more people are coming out to showcase their artistry.

When you think of all talented people competing to become the next big celebrity, it’s hard to believe that people from the same family can actually become superstars.

These famous celebrities from the same household have defied all odds to make a real name for themselves, however, you might not have even realized that some of them are related.

Here are some of the talented Kenyan celebrities who share the same family tree.

Moipei sisters

The four sisters,  triplets -Mary, Martha and Magdaline, and their youngest sister Seraphine formed the musical group called the Moipei sisters.
The Moipei’s sisters graced our screens with their angelic voices growing right in front of our eyes. 
Music runs in the blood of the four melodious sisters since their dad Nicholas Ole Moipei is also a music teacher.
Rufftone,  Daddy Owen and Fidel

The Mwatia brother’s Daddy Owen and Rufftone have come to touch hearts in Kenya gospel ministry for more than 10 years now.
Their passion for music inspired their younger brother Fidel.
Moji Short Baba and Des
James Muhia popularly known as Moji Short Baba is a young talented Kenyan gospel singer.

The former Kelele Takatifu gospel group has a brother Des who is also into music. The two siblings have a collabo hit song.

 Mercy Masika comes from a musical family with their mum, Agnes Masika, playing a huge role in her career.
At a tender age, Mercy and her siblings were introduced to gospel music shows such as Joy Bringers where they would also get an opportunity to perform.

Popular gospel rapper Eko Dydda has successfully groomed his sons to follow in his footsteps. The rappers’ young sons have released several songs that are dope.

The ‘vidole’ hitmaker is nurturing his sons’ talent, the two youngsters have taken after their father in the art of rapping and even seem to be doing much better.

Victoria Kimani, Bamboo, and Kimya Miyaki

 Victoria comes from a musical family that includes born-again rapper Bamboo and big brother Kimya Miyaki.

Joey Muthengi and Holy Dave

Joey started off as a rapper back in the days, her brother Holy-Dave is a gospel musician and the duo collaborated and released a hit song dubbed ‘ i can do it’.

Apart from music, the two siblings are also into the media industry.

Kidkora who is part of the legendary genge band  Kansoul group has a famous sibling who rocked back in the days Bamzigi .

Bamzigi who is a hip-hop star is better known after his lyrical video “Form Ni Gani” hit the airwaves.
