Kariobangi Sharks Geared for Gor Mahia Clash

Kariobangi Sharks are seemingly ready for Kenyan Premier League duty after the end of FIFA break.

They beat Chemelil Sugar before taking the international break and will be facing off with champions Gor Mahia over the weekend.

Going by their post on social media ahead of the battle, the Sharks seem to be plotting K’Ogalo’s downfall.

From five matches, the Nick Mwendwa-owned club has won once, lost once and drawn thrice to stand at position 13 on the 18-team table with six points.

They are just above Nzoia Sugar and Zoo Kericho who are still in the safe position, and relegation-threatened Kisumu All Stars and Chemelil Sugar.

On the other hand, Gor Mahia have a match at hand but are sitting comfortably at the summit of the log with 12 points, two more than those of second-placed and arch-rivals AFC Leopards. KCB and Tusker are also joint second with the same points (10) from five matches apiece.

Western Stima, Posta Rangers, Ulinzi Stars, Bandari, Sofapaka and Kakamega Homeboyz sit between sixth and tenth positions in that order.
