Kenya national team Harambee Stars, on Sunday October 13, fell 1-0 to a lowly ranked Mozambique at the Moi International Sports Centre Kasarani.

Failure to utilize all their opportunities and a blind pass by team captain and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama literary cost Harambee Stars all the points.

It would have been a different story if Kenya’s top striker Micheal Olunga was sharp enough in front of the goal as he wasted three clear-cut chances in the first half.

Substitutes Jesse Were, Duke Abuya and Whyvonne Isuza were also wasteful, failing to score with only the goalkeeper to beat.

Mozambican Canhambe Amancio realized Kenyans were not ready to pose any threat, so, in the 68th minute, he took advantage of defensive errors to slot in a sublime winning goal which left the handful fans inside the stadium freezing.

Kenyan fans got really angry with the outcome, but they’re even more bitter by the fact that Harambee Stars has not won a match from its last five encounters.
