Babu Owino Gives Mariga One Advise After His Vehicles Were Stoned In Kibra

Jubilee Party Candidate in the Kibra by-election McDonald Mariga and Embakasi East MP Babu Owino.

Embakasi East Member of Parliament Paul Ongili, alias Babu Owino, has offered one advice to Jubilee Party candidate in the Kibra by-election McDonald Mariga, just a few minutes after his vehicles were pelted with stones.

Taking to his social media accounts on Saturday to react on the ordeal, the MP faulted Mariga for the altercation saying he had ignored his advice.

He told the Jubilee candidate that he is poised for more violent drama if he fails to heed to his piece of advice.

“I don’t support violence at all but I already told Mariga to leave the race for a fly that does not listen to advice is buried with the corpse.

The goat that broke the drum of Kibra people is paying with the skin,” reads in part a statement he shared on his Instagram account.

The outspoken MP went ahead to urge Mariga to relinquish his parliamentary ambitions and perhaps give it a shot another time.

“I’m humbly requesting Mariga to leave the race, live to fight another day and plan like Eliud Kipchoge. Let’s maintain peace,” wrote Babu.

On Saturday, Mariga’s convoy was pelted with stones on his way to Bukhungu grounds for a rally.

The goons also lit tyres on the road just a few metres where a towering billboard of Mariga is erected.

Jubilee leaders led by Kimani Ichung’wa accused the ODM party of the violence saying the altercation was the making of their botched demonstrations against the IEBC.

“This is what ODM was calling for when they called for Demonstrations this week.#Cowards_of_the_country running scared.

Their belief that only violence can activate their base. Get an agenda to run on other than demos and violence.,”  tweeted Ichung’wa.

However, despite the hooliganism meted on the former football star’s convoy, he managed to access the ground for his campaigns.

Mariga holds a rally in Bukhungu grounds, Kibra.

Mariga is competing with ODM’s Bernard Imran Okoth, ANC’s Eliud Owalo among 20 other candidates cleared by the IEBC.

The by-election is slated for November 7.
