Law Professor Reveals Why Its Risky for Ruto to Travel Abroad

Deputy President William Ruto arrives in Vienna, Austria where he will be looking forward to cheering Eliud Kipchoge in his mission to beat INEOS159 challenge.

Kenyan-American professor of law Makau Mutua has claimed that it is not safe for Deputy President (DP)William Ruto to travel overseas.

Taking to his twitter handle on Friday, Professor Makau claimed that the DP was bound to face arrests while abroad adding that he wouldn’t consider such a person if he was his advocate.

“I don’t know whether I would travel abroad — especially in Europe or North America — if my name and title were Deputy President William Ruto.

Secret arrest warrants can’t be second-guessed. Travel at your peril. If I was your lawyer, I would tell you NYET!” claimed Professor Makau.

The Law Professor was making the allegations at a time when DP Ruto was preparing to travel to Vienna, Austria to cheer the 42 kilometre World record-holder, Eliud Kipchoge.

However, Professor Makau’s allegations came under czar criticism from the DP’s supporters.

In response, digital blogger associated with the Office of the Deputy President William Ruto, Dennis Itumbi, lashed out at the Professor terming his assertions as fictitious.

“Dear @makaumutua, your Evil Society experiment failed! It flopped big time. Just accept.

Lies, dark schemes and outright fiction, could not stand the test of Justice. We all forgave you. Try another narrative. There was a way to start stories, Hadithi…Hadithi…,” responded Itumbi.
