Kenya Film Classification Board boss Ezekiel Mutua has announced his search for a Kamba artist; Toby Bisengo.
In a long facebook post, Mutua lauded the singer revealing that he was impressed by his content.
According to Mutua, Bisengo’s song dubbed ‘Umunthi Wuwakwa’ deserves to be awarded as the Kikamba Song of the Year.
He also promised a grand award for the artist and mentioned that other musicians should borrow a leaf from him by promoting clean content.
“I want to award this guy for being an inspiration and for promoting clean content.
“He’s the proof that content doesn’t have to be dirty to sell. Anyone with his contacts please inbox,” he stated in his post
As the KFCB CEO, Ezekiel Mutua has been vocal in campaigning against raunchy content which is produced by desperate attention-seeking musicians.
In regard to the Kamba song, Mutua added that he has listened to the song over and over again and his key take out is the fact that the song advocates for good morals.
“It’s the song that should be played in every Kamba wedding and listened to by couples to know that it takes the hand of God to make it in marriage.
“This song glories the institution of marriage as the foundation of a family. It urges patience among lovers and encourages couples to celebrate marriage as God’s great and awesome work.” reads his post.
Apart from this Kamba artist, Kenyan Comedian Henry Desagu was honoured by the board for having 100,000 followers on youtube.
