All Set for Kenya Strongest Man Competition

All is set for the Kenya Strongest Man Competition to be held over the weekend.

Organizers have announced that the competition will be staged on Saturday, October 12 at Two Rivers Mall starting 10 am.

VIP tickets trade at Sh1500 each while those of regular seats will be sold at Sh1000. Tickets for kids go for Sh 300.

Years ago, Conrad Njeru Karukenya, also known as Tiger Power, was the face of Africa before he died last year.

He dared any African man to engage him in a strength contest and nobody did. Since then, he had been referred to as Kenya’s “strongest man” thanks to his extraordinary stunts such as breaking a six-inch nail with his finger.

Tiger Power’s popularity rose when he let a Land Rover roll over him unscathed. In different instances, he pulled stunts such as lifting eight huge men without much effort and pulling a car with his teeth.

At Kevote, Embu County, where he lived with his family, he was a household name for many years during Embu ASK shows.

And Kenyans are gearing to replace Tiger Power. This Saturday, a number of competitors are expected to show their might, from which the most powerful one will be announced.
