Ceballos Reveals Main Reason Behind Arsenal Move

Image result for ceballosSpanish midfielder Dani Ceballos has revealed that he agreed to move to Arsenal on a season-long loan deal from Real Madrid so as to secure a Euro 2020 slot.

The attacking midfielder opted to ditch the Spanish capital club for a move to London on a temporary basis. He is yet to find his footing in Unai Emery’s side featuring mainly as a substitute. He has scored one goal so far for the Gunners.

He is part of the Spain team that will play Sweden and Norway in next year’s championship and the Arsenal will be hoping to cement his place in the 2010 World Cup champions squad.

Speaking ahead of the two matches, Ceballos revealed his target is to be part of Spain’s squad at the Euros and added that moving to the North London club was part of his plan to ensure that he plays more club football and earn a Euro slot.

“I knew the importance of this year. My goal is to reach EURO 2020 and going to Arsenal has been a very important step in my career,” he said.

Asked whether he regrets the move as he has not been used much by Emery, the former Real Betis man said he is happy in the London club and that he is enjoying football there.

“Going to Arsenal has been a very important step in my career. I don’t feel sorry for not being in Madrid. Right now I am where I want to be and I am very happy. My idea was to go out, play and enjoy football,” he added.
