Late Reginald Mengi’s widow, Jacqueline Mengi, shared an emotional message as she celebrated her twin sons’ seventh birthday.

“Today I celebrate 7 years of being an abundantly blessed mother of twins. It’s been 7 years of absolute bliss, filled with double hugs, double kisses, double I love you, double cuddles, double cute laughs and so much more!” she wrote before adding, “I’m grateful and happy! May the shower of blessings continue to pour on my big bundles of joy, now and forever! Happy birthday J&R from mom and an angel.”

This is the first birthday celebration since her Tanzanian multi-millionaire tycoon husband passed on. He died while in Dubai after suffering a short illness.

His death came after the two celebrated their 4th anniversary. During their celebration, Jacqueline shared a heart-warming message showing how happy she was to be with him.

“I couldn’t have wished for a better man to share my life with, a man who has become my best friend, my rock, my mentor, and my pride,” she said.

In response, Mengi said, “Happy Anniversary My Sweet love. It has been a very exciting journey full of love and happiness.”

Lavish Wedding

The two got married in a lavish wedding in Mauritius back in 2015 and there was a huge fuss about it. This is because she was not only marrying a man 36 years her senior but also one of Africa’s richest men.

Before marrying Jacqueline, Mr Mengi had divorced with his first wife Mercy Anna Mengi whom he got married to in 1971. Together they had three children. However, Mercy died in 2018 leaving behind the children who are grown-ups.

It later emerged that Mengi did not leave anything for the three children he had with his first wife to inherit, but rather wrote a will directing that his twins and Jacqueline should inherit all his wealth.
