Wenger quit Arsenal in 2018 after 22 years in charge of the North London club. His place was taken by Spanish coach Unai Emery who has done much to turn the team’s fortunes around. He led the team to the Europa League final where they lost to Chelsea in the final. The team also missed out on UEFA Champions League football after finishing outside the top four.

Wenger was earlier quoted by a section of British media stating that he would be interested in taking over as Manchester United manager with current boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on the brink after a difficult start of 2019/20 season.

The Frenchman has seemingly ruled himself out of the job after confirming that he has turned down several job offers as he is too attached to the Gunners. He, however, disclosed that he will return to coaching outside England.

“I’m an Arsenal man and after that, I’m a professional. I can’t stop working. I decided to move out of the Premier League because I am too linked with Arsenal. I had opportunities to work in England but I turned them down,” he said in an interview.

Pressed to disclose the identities of the clubs that were after him, the tactician declined to name the club stating that it would be unfair to some people.

“I don’t want to tell you which clubs because there are people in charge and it would unfair to them,” he added.
