A fierce Jubilee Party MP has come out to narrate why he fell out with Deputy President Dr William Ruto and abandoning his rallies altogether.

The vocal Mt Kenya MP Moses Kuria stated that the continuous bickering between the two factions in Jubilee (TangaTanga and Kieleweke) has made him stay away from DP Ruto’s rallies.

Kuria who has since mulled taking a stab at the Presidency told K24’s Anne Kiguta that he became concerned when the rallies were reduced to loyalty contests on who better supports DP Ruto’s 2022 Presidential ambitions.

Kuria noted that Mt Kenya MPs still running around in political rallies over 2022 were selling the region’s over 6 million voters short for short-term conveniences.

“When I see Mt Kenya MPs competing to parrot on who’s loyal to this faction or that…I ask myself but what about our region with 6 million voters?” quipped Kuria.

The Gatundu South MP stated that all those planning to ascend to power have to convince the Mt Kenya region’s voters about what they stand to get, saying that the region was not ready for a Raila-Presidency.

He bashed members of  both the TangaTanga and Kieleweke factions of the ruling party as flower girls who were picked by their masters for their lack of ‘critical questioning.’

Kuria also expressed fears of the animosity meted on him after he chose to be a neutral Jubilee Party member in Parliament.

He said his fellow MPs were intolerant of his stance and that he would cease participating in Jubilee party exercises until 2022 when he will officially quit to run for President under a different outfit.

This comes after DP Ruto announced that Jubilee Party would be conducting its grassroots elections before March next year in an attempt to mend the polarization within.

This, Ruto said, would ensure all members own the party and not just a few people in the big cities.
