A renowned city lawyer has launched scathing attacks on the Kenyan church, promising fire and brimstone in what he calls corruption at the altars.
Lawyer Donald Kipkorir, an ardent Roman Catholic, voiced his disaffection with the Churches in Kenya claiming they had developed a penchant for collecting Tithes, gifts and buildings at the expense of spreading the Gospel.
The lawyer who has never shied from parading his humble upbringing said the Church had erected an altar to mammon (money) and that Christ would be disappointed not to find a church at all in Kenya.
When the RUPTURE occurs & our Lord Jesus Christ returns in the second advent, He will not find His Church in Kenya … The Church in Kenya has erected an altar to MAMMON .. The Church prioritizes Tithe, Gifts & Buildings over the Gospel … Sodom & Gomorrah will look Holy Cities!

This comes just days after the Catholic church bishops banned cash donations in their churches, urging would-be benefactors to embrace MPESA or bank transfers as an option that would leave a distinct paper trail.
“Henceforth, fundraisers in the church will be done by mobile money transfer or by cheque. This will avoid handling of huge amounts of cash and give a clear trail of the donors,” Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB) Chair Bishop Philip Anyolo declared.
The conference also noted that all gifts above Sh50,000 must be recorded.
Kipkorir who first wore shoes on admission to Secondary school was brought up by an alcoholic father but beat the odds to create a spot for himself.
Having worked for Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula in the 90s, Kipkorir created his own law firm that would blossom over the years to develop a worldwide presence.
The lawyer attributes his success to hard work, saying he had been working 15 hours a day from 1997 to 2015 when he developed back pain and slashed it 9.5 hours a day.
KTK Advocates is one of the best Commercial/Corporate Law firms in Kenya with a rich portfolio of state corporations, high net-worth individuals and banks. The law firm also has insurance companies and Universities as its major client base.
“In my entire life, I have never been a broker, never taken money other than legal fees that are receipted, have no bank loan, I have no debts and I pay my taxes. I live my life in the open because I have not stolen and I have no monetary or political debts to pay,” narrated Kipkorir in an earlier Social media post.
The lawyer with a working network in England, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Sudan and Ethiopia claims he offers help to his friends every week without expecting reciprocation.
“In my small way, I try to spread the Gospel of our Lord Jesus. I remain a sinner. But a sinner with his eyes fixed on the Hill in the City,” reads one of his earlier posts.
