October has started with a sad tone after a Kenyan woman succumbed due to burns caused by her husband for allegedly returning home late.
Domestic violence has now become a menace in Kenya and our very own celebrities are no exception.
Despite the glam, a lot of our celebrities have escaped the jaws of death due to assault. Here are some of them.
1.Anne Kiguta:
Anne left her baby daddy who she had sired a daughter with due to severe beatings.
In a past interview with a local magazine, Anne narrated how her baby daddy once beat her the day she was to make her debut on TV, she had bruises and scars on her face and her strong will and the power of makeup helped her go through the bulletin. After that, she packed her belongings and left with her daughter.
2.Nicah The Queen:
The musician, who is a baby momma to Comedian Dr. Ofweneke, parted ways because he used to put paws on her.Nicah couldn’t take it anymore and left with her two Kids.
Nicah had shared a photo on her social media pages that had been taken 3 months after their engagement saying that the comedian had been abusive.
3.Janet Wanja:
The volleyball beauty has had a fair share of assault from a jealous boyfriend. Wanja had dated the guy for four years, and when she started receiving accolades for her prowess in volleyball, the boyfriend became insecure and started beating her.
4.Betty Kyallo:
K24 TV News anchor has revealed in different interviews that she walked away from her short-lived marriage to Dennis Okari because the father of her child was manipulative and abusive.
5.Kush Tracey:
She dated a rapper, Timmy Tdat . The rapper was accused of hitting her and also embarrassing her in a club. He, however, defended himself accusing Kush Tracey of misbehaving and embarrassing him in front of a multitude.
6.Ajakait Juliana Ojaamong’
Ajakait, the daughter of Busia County Governor Sospeter Ojaamong, accused her Congolese husband in March 2019 of clobbering her. He had come home drunk and locked her up in the bedroom and started assaulting while armed with a knife.
7.Tina Kaggia:
Tina Kaggia, a former radio presenter, separated from her husband Comedian JB Masanduku due to domestic violence. She accused her Ex of abusing her whenever he downed bottles of alcohol.
