Mesut Ozil has been left out of Arsenal’s clash with Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium. The German is completely missing from the matchday squad.
Unai Emery has started teenage striker Bukayo Saka in attack alongside Nicholas Pepe and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang. Matteo Guendouzi also starts alongside new captain Granit Xhaka and Dani Ceballos. In defense, David Luiz partnered Sokratis flanked by Calum Chambers and Sead Kolasinac with Scottish full-back Kieran Tierney named on the bench.
However, it is Mesut Ozil’s expulsion from the squad that has caught the eye more. The World Cup winner also missed Arsenal’s draw at Old Trafford on Monday and the win over Standard Liege in the Europa League on Thursday.
It is clear Unai Emery does not fancy the German but his decision to leave him out of the squad has not gone well with some Arsenal fans.
Nelson and Ozil not in the squad?
This cunt really is sacking himself

What has Ozil done to deserve this treatment or is Emery just clueless

Seriously man, this situation between Unai & Ozil needs sorting out, it’s not doing anyone any good.
Ozil is a quality player and can definitely be an asset to this squad. Nobody can tell me he’s not good enough to make the starting 18.
It’s need sorting, and quick. #afc

Outrageous there is no Ozil at the Emirates today when he is paid so much money and there are many positives he could offer. For instance the refreshment kiosk on the Upper Tier West side could do with an extra pair of hands
