Wazito FC head coach Fred Ambani is adamant that his team will go int this weekend’s clash with Mathare United in high spirits following last weekend’s 2-0 win over Zoo Kericho.
Wazito started their league campaign with two draws and a defeat to AFC Leopards leaving many to question their quality especially after a very busy transfer window in which the club signed more than ten players.
However, the team dug deep to earn the first win of the season against Zoo Kericho and Ambani claims the win will have done them a world of good heading into the clash against Salim Ali’s Mathare United.
”When you play well but you don’t get the desired result sometimes it affects your confidence. Last weekend’s win was very vital because it gives my boys the much-needed self-belief. When you approach matches confidently chances of getting the desired results are high,” he stated.
On the match itself, Ambani said his team will go for all three points but warned his charges against complacency as Mathare United is a good team with quality players.
“We are going for maximum points. We want to build on last weekend’s win and get the three points on Saturday. We know that it will not be easy because we face a tough side but we are going to give our best to earn maximum points,” he added.
The match will be staged at the Moi International Sports Center Kasarani Center and kicks off at 3.PM.
