Football pundit and former Premier League defender Jason Cundy says Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers has proved that he can do a better job at Manchester United and that the former Liverpool boss should replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Cundy, who played for Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Crystal Palace among others during his playing time, says Brenden has recorded some impressive performance with The Foxes, to an extent that Leicester are ahead of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United.

Given this, combined with Leicester’s start to the season, Cundy took to the airwaves to claim that the ex-Swansea boss is good enough to replace Solskjaer at Old Trafford.

“You’ve seen Brendan go in there and change Leicester. Is Brendan the worst shout in the world for Manchester United?” he quipped on TalkSport.

“Brendan has managed Celtic and Liverpool. If you can manage those two football clubs and do a decent job – obviously he was brilliant at Celtic – are you telling me he couldn’t do a better job than Ole right now? Because I am telling you: he could,” he added.

Leicester City are currently third on the table while Ole’s Manchester United come from behind at a distant 10th. Liverpool are at the summit of the table with 21 points from seven matches this season.
