Gor Mahia has named the team that will start against Nzoia Sugar in their Kenya Premier league match slated for Wednesday, October 2. The match was pushed into midweek following the defending Champions’ involvement in the CAF Champions League over the weekend.
David Mapigano starts in goal while Wellington and Geoffrey Ochieng cover the right full-back and left full-back positions respectively. Joash Onyango will partner Maurice Ojwang at the heart of the defense.
Lawrence Juma and Tobias Otieno will play as a double pivot in midfield with captain Kenneth Muguna occupying the attacking midfielder’s slot flanked by Cliffton Miheso and Boniface Omondi.
Francis Afriyie will be the lone striker while Nicholas Kipkirui will make his mark on this match from the bench. A win for Gor Mahia will send them top of the table with 9 points having played a match less after their clash with Chemelil Sugar was postponed.
