Kenyans online can be ruthless especially towards public figures, some victims have been able to stand up against it and countless others have sunk in depression or even committed suicide.
Social media is so far the biggest platform where body shamers hit at their poor victims while hiding behind their keyboards.
Here are some of the celebrities who have been victims of keyboard worriers.
Kamene Goro
Kiss 100 presenter to her cyberbullying is part and partial of her and she is not afraid of calling out the body shamers.
A few days ago she was forced to fire back at one of her fans after she tried body-shaming the sassy queen of the mic.
“I have seen the sagging arms… The gym is calling… weight lifting makes that skin-tight etc,” said Rose Mukasa.
“@rosemukasa it your body? Inakuhusu? I am very happy with my flabby body. You go and lift weights, I’m great with my body,” Kamene Goro wrote back.
DJ Pierra Makena
The sassy deejay was once criticized for gaining some weight after giving birth.
She was forced to remind her body shamers of the biological fact that is post-pregnancy weight gain.
Her post read, The last thing a person should tell a mother is how bad she looks. Putting her down is unfair and uncouth. And kudos to all women looking gorgeous and bringing up beautiful children. She also told the critics that she loved and is comfortable with her new body.
Linda Nyangweso
Kiss 100 presenter found herself on the wrath of Kenyans after a photo of her in a bikini resurfaced online.
However, just like her colleague she fought back.
“I posted the pictures because we were happy, we were having fun on a regular family vacation…and honestly, the best thing I did was, I never looked online. I posted the picture and I went on with my vacation. It’s only afterward that I saw people expected me to wear…I don’t know, maybe garbage bags,” says the mother of one.

Online bullies made him embarked on a weight loss journey.
