Aisha Jumwa Shaping Tribal Battle In Kibra Race? Video Raises Questions

Aisha Jumwa accompanies Jubilee Party Candidate McDonald Mariga in a meeting with members of Divine faith.

Video footage shared by Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen on social media account has shown Malindi Member Of Parliament Aisha Jumwa suggesting that the Kibra Race is between two communities.

While speaking to a group of people from the Devine faith, which majorly consist of Luhyas, the MP urged the attendees to hold onto Mariga since he was their own.

However,  it is her remarks which insinuated that the group should ignore Ford Kenya candidate, Eng Khamisi Butichi, and focus on Mariga that raises eyebrows whether she was suggesting that the race was between Luos and Luhyas.

“I know what is happening but the fight is between two tribes. Them and you. About Butichi I don’t see any fact theirs.

So just let Butichi vote for himself but the remaining ones let us hold on our own because it is not my words but biblical demand,” she said.

The ODM rebel member had earlier urged the faithful to adhere to biblical teachings requiring them to hold on their own so that they cannot lose.

“The Bible says in Revelation 3: 11. It orders us that we cling to that which is ours so that nobody else can come and snatch it from us.

For that reason, I want to tell you that we hold that which we have. And what we have is Mariga because he is ours. So you define church member Mariga is ours,” said Jumwa.

The MP also took a swipe at ANC candidate Edwin Owalo for calling Mariga a tout saying she had abused their son adding that he was not heir own to warrant their votes.
