Inua Mama leaders on Sunday clapped back to Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) for Public Service, Youth and Gender Affairs Rachel Shebesh for making derogatory remarks towards the Deputy President William Ruto.

Led by Bomet women rep Joyce Korir, the group castigated the CAS for meddling with the leadership of Jubilee party saying Shebesh you should stick to her roles in government.

The leaders rubbished remarks, made by the former Nairobi women rep, that insinuated that the DP arm-twisted President Uhuru Kenyatta into endorsing Mcdonald Mariga for Kibra by-elections.

“We respect the president because he is our party leader. We campaigned for him and we will pray for him, support him and ensure that he delivers on his mandate. But Shebesh must know that there is a president and a deputy president… ” said Korir.

The Bomet leader further scolded Shebesh for holding night meetings aimed at campaigning for ODM candidate, Bernard Imran, yet she has a government responsibility.

The leader urged the former women rep to go slow on matters of leadership and leave political gimmicks to politicians.

“I want to tell Shebesh that what goes around comes around let her come with moderation. No wonder Nairobi residents voted her out because she cannot deliver.

She is coming with so much speed that we cant understand. How can she campaign at night yet we gave her a job that she ensures our school-going children have enough sanitary pads…I tell you Shebesh leave politics to us who were elected,” added the legislator.

The leader was speaking at a rally organized by the group in Tharaka Nithi.

The former Nairobi Woman Rep, on Friday, alleged that President Uhuru was coerced to endorse Mariga.

Speaking to women in Kibra constituency, Uhuru was not interested in endorsing Mariga.

“On that day when the president endorsed Mariga for Kibra race, I was in State House. I know how they mounted pressure on him, and how they gained entry to State House,” she claimed.

Shebesh further claimed that Ruto and his allies gained access to State House through the back door.
