DCI Issue Warrant of Arrest for Renowned City Contractor

Former AAK Vice-president and chairman Gad Opiyo Omondi

The DCI on Wednesday issued a warrant of arrest for a popular city contractor who was being hunted by the police.

Through a tweet, the authorities stated they were looking for the architect identified as Gad Opiyo Omondi for the offence of obtaining by false pretence.

The police ordered that Gad had to report to the DCI headquarters in Nairobi.

A background check on Gad revealed that he is a well know contractor and developer who once served as the vice-president and chairman of the Architectural Association of Kenya(AAK).

It is reported that the architect is the owner of Gads Works Holding which is both a construction and real estate company.

Further information highlighted that Gad has worked on several projects such as the Gilgil way bridge, Kinondo Golf resort in Diani, Lost Village Resort in Kisumu, Milele apartments in Kisumu, executive maisonettes in Syokimau, studio apartments in Mlolongo, residential buildings in Lavington, Runda and Kileleshwa.

Two weeks ago, the police were after Jane Wawira Mugo who had been claimed to be a fake private investigator and CEO of Trimo Security Limited.

The police had explained that Mugo had threatened to kill a man who she alleged was a spy for a Director of unnamed company she was investigation.

The incident was stated to have taken place at New Muthaiga Estate in August this year where she had drawn a pistol on the victim.

Mugo was on September 19 released by the high court on Ksh 200,000 bail or Ksh300,000 bond.
