Manchester City is in a tricky situation. The team’s best defender Aymeric Laporte is injured till next year and on Tuesday, Pep Guardiola confirmed that John Stones will be out of action for up to 6 weeks.

This leaves Manchester city with only one fit central defender in Nicholas Otamendi for the trip to Ukraine to face Shakhtar Donetsk. Having conceded 3 times in their last Premier League match against Norwich City, it will be interesting to see how Pep Guardiola copes with Shakhtar’s speed and quality upfront, especially now that he has more defensive problems to deal with.
