Sofapaka Midfielder Predicts a Tough Outing Against Ulinzi Stars

Sofapaka midfielder Eli Asieche has admitted that his side’s Kenyan Premier League match against Ulinzi Stars scheduled for Saturday September 14 will be a tough one.

Batoto Ba Mungu travel to Nakuru where they will face the military outfit at Afraha Stadium. Clashes between the two teams over the years have been pulsating producing many goals.

Sofapaka lost their opening match of the season to Posta Rangers a fortnight ago while Ulinzi Stars registered a 2-0 away win at Kisumu All Stars.

Speaking ahead of the Saturday duel, Asieche, formerly with Kariobangi Sharks and KCB said he expects a tough duel against Benjamin Nyangweso’s troops but stated that his team is keen on getting all the points from the match.

“It will not be easy because Ulinzi is a very tough team. But we have trained well for the past two weeks, focused on our weak areas and also tried to gel as a team because we have very many new players. Everything has worked well and now we are more cohesive and the unity in the team is coming up very well,” he told the club website.

“It wasn’t the start we anticipated but we have to put that behind us and focus on the game on Saturday. It will be important for us to get three points because we can’t do the same mistakes, we did last season by starting poorly, ” he added.

The match will kick off at 3PM
