A city pastor has blamed President Uhuru Kenyatta for the political turmoil in Central Kenya.

“Sitanyamaza tena and I will repeat without apology that President Uhuru Kenyatta is the cause of the political turmoil in Central Kenya,” Pastor Godfrey Mwigi said through a Facebook post.

The Pastor said that the Central region will not betray Deputy President William Ruto who has expressed interests in the 2022 Presidential elections.

“He (Uhuru) expected that we will join him in betraying DP Ruto without questioning and reasoning but the community at large has refused” he added.

The Pastor alleged that the Head of State undermined Kihara MP Ndindi Nyoro, who belongs to Team Tanga Tanga by sending nominated MP Maina Kamanda to his constituency on Sunday without informing him.

“In disregard and disrespect to the local MP and protocol, they staged a church harambee in Kiharu and uhuru sent 1M with kamanda and a troop of other MPs who have been undermining DP Ruto and Ndindi in central kenya. It is obvious, all this was planned to undermine MP Ndindi in his constituency, But people have refused” he said.

The Preacher further warned that calamities would befall the central region should Uhuru fail to support Ruto’s 2022 Presidential ambitions.

“If Mt Kenya will be forced to break this covenant there will be a lot of calamities in the region and God will never forgive mountaineers, mtu hawezi kutoa kwa shimo then umuruke” he said.

The latest fracas at Gitui involving Ndindi and nominated MP Maina Kamanda is among the latest coming out of the Central pitting the Kieleweki and Tanga Tanga camps.

In late June, chaos erupted in Nyeri Constituency after supporters of area MP Ngunjiri Wambugu disrupted a meeting that Agriculture CS attended to launch the Riamukurwe water project at Gatitu, Nyeri.
