Media reports in Italy suggested that the Italian international may walk out of the London based club with a return to Napoli or a move to Juventus where his former manager Maurizio Sarri is said to be on the cards.

Santos has however dismissed the reports. In an interview, the agent said the player is keen on staying at the Bridge for longer stating that he will honor the four years remaining on his current contract with Chelsea.

“We have a mid-to-long-term project with Chelsea, similar to when he joined Hellas Verona and then Napoli. There are five years left on his contract. Let’s say he’d like to stay for at least another four years,” he said.

Jorginho has endured a tough time since he decamped to Chelsea from Napoli. He was heavily moved from the club in June but Chelsea’s transfer embargo meant that the club couldn’t afford to lose more first-team players.

Meanwhile, striker Olivier Giroud has rubbished reports that he is set to retire. The striker says he is still ambitious and wants to continue playing at the highest level.

“I’m here to help the new generation, but the retirement time has not come. I’m still hungry and have a lot of ambition. I don’t just want to be Chelsea’s No 2 strikers, for sure. Just because I’m here as an older brother for young people, it doesn’t mean I’m out on the sidelines,” he added.
